After a 68-year-old father went out to pick up dinner last weekend and never returned home, the Peachtree City community has stepped forward to help his 19- and 15-year-old sons who are now alone. The man was killed in a car accident on Saturday in which his car left the roadway and struck a tree. At the time of the report, the investigation into what led to the accident continued.
In the meantime, however, family friends have begun leaving groceries for the boys on their front porch, preparing meals for the two, and have been raising funds to help purchase a vehicle for them, as the family’s only car was the one their father was driving when the accident occurred. A Go Fund Me account has been set up to raise funds for funeral expenses, as well as to assist the boys with the cost of attending college.
