A motorcyclist was killed in DeKalb County on Monday morning after a car turned in front of him on Moreland Avenue in DeKalb County, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, the accident occurred just after 7:30 AM, when investigators believe that a motorist turned left in front of the rider. Charges are pending for the driver.
The accident resulted in the southbound lanes of Moreland Avenue being shut down at South River Industrial Boulevard while the rider’s body was moved from the roadway and transported to the DeKalb County Medical Examiner’s Office. The wreckage was cleared from the roadway and traffic flow resumed there just after 9 AM.
